The Big Game's On Read-a-thon: Mini Challenge #1

Mini challenge #1 - "For this challenge, take a look at the books you plan on reading today. Which do you predict will come out as the winner and why?"

I'm thinking Vision in White by Nora Roberts will come out as the winner. (I'm defining "winner" as which book I'll spend the most time with today - the one that wins my attention.) I'll be reading this book for a couple of reasons. First, it counts as homework since we'll be discussing romance novels in my class next week, so I don't feel guilty about reading it. :) Next, I'm in the mood for reading about weddings/wedding planning. Right now I am tuned into "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC, and I have an assortment of wedding-themed magazines spread out in my apartment. I'm still basking in the glow of my engagement, so I'm feeling girly and wanting to read about wedding planning. Third, I am really enjoying the love interest in this book, Carter - he's a nerdy, shy, English teacher. With brown hair and blue eyes. Yes, please!

Vision in White (The Bride Quartet, Book 1)
The final reason I think this book will win my attention - I've already read the other book on my list: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. I may spend a little time reading HP before bed, but I think that most of my readathon time will be spent with the first book.

Congratulations on your engagement! Glad you are able to read a book that is both fun and meets the requirements for homework!
