Book Blogger Hop! February 4-7

Book Blogger Hop

I haven't "hopped" in a while, but I thought I'd participate this week! The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly event hosted over aCrazy-for-Books where "book bloggers and readers can connect to find new blogs to read, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!"

Question of the week: What are you reading now and why are you reading it?

I'm currently reading Vision in White by Nora Roberts.
Vision in White (The Bride Quartet, Book 1)
I am enrolled in an Adult Reader's Advisory class, and next week we are discussing Romance novels.  I work at the reference desk of a public library, and our patrons can't believe that I've never read any Nora Roberts! So I've decided to give her a try. I picked this title because I recently got engaged and I thought it would be fun to read about wedding preparations.

I'm listening to Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman on audiobook.
Saving CeeCee Honeycutt: A Novel
I picked this one up at the library. I've heard that fans of The Help and The Secret Life of Bees really liked this one as well. I loved those two books, so I am trying this one too.

Hoppin' by to say hi --- I liked Saving CeeCee when I read it, so I'm sure the audiobook is good, too. :)

Well, I've read both the books you mentioned. I enjoyed the Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts. I wouldn't want to read them back to back, but they were good fun. Lots of happy times in them.

CEE CEE HUNNICUTT is a wonderful book, I think. I hope you enjoy both books. When I worked at our local library, readers advisory was my favorite part. I loved finding just the right book for the right person. :-)

Hopping by.

Good answer! The answer on my book blog is a little embarassing; it’s a book that’s been sitting on my TBR pile for a year.

To my shame, I only opened the book because I remember it contained an Amazon gift card.

Hop on over!

Hopping through. I haven't read Saving CeeCee Honeycutt but it sounds like the type of book I'd like.

When I took adult reference, our professor had me read a ton of Western novels, since I'd never really explored that genre before. I ended up really liking a few of them, especially Shane by Jack Schaefer.

We had to read some romance novels too, but nothing famous. I think they were dimestore novels from 30 years ago... not sure why we read them, except our teacher had a big box of them set by. A lot of them were just ridiculous... lots of plots where the heroine falls in love with her stepbrother or some such.
