Wednesday Web Wanderings (40)

Is anyone else snowed/iced in? We had an ice storm here in the Indianapolis area, and I've been stuck at home for a few days. Class and work were cancelled. The only time I've gone outside is to walk my dog, and this morning I completely wiped out on the ice. Ouch!

This unexpected time off has given me plenty of time to work on homework and read. I finished a 400 page novel that I started a couple days ago!

Ok, on to the links. This is a collection of interesting book- and library-related things I've come across online this week. Check 'em out!

Happy reading!

Thank you for posting these links. I've already read and enjoyed Sheila's review of This Book Overdue and see several other links I want to check out.

My library was closed for the past two days so I had an unexpected "weekend" this week. I was able to finish a book and some reviews today. Tomorrow I will probably be back to the daily grind.

You found some excellent websites. I am going to share the article from HuffPo about YA and Dystopian novels with my staff. We use Hunger Games and Uglies as required Summer reading books and it will be interesting information for teachers to understand the appeal.

I also got a real laugh about the website that has the horrible book that was weeded out of a library.

Hope you are staying warm. It was a lovely day in the Pacific Northwest...in case you care!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! And thanks for the links! I'm off to check some out. Oh, yeah. We got a ton of snow. My school notoriously does NOT shut down and classes were actually canceled on Wed. mostly because the city buses stopped running.
