Today's topic is blogger development. I love this topic! I recently made a long list of things I want to do to improve my blog, so I've had this topic on my mind. I plan to participate in Bloggiesta the next time around. Here are my answers to some of the suggested questions on blogger development:
Have you branched out into your community?
I haven't connected with anyone locally except for other librarians. It's fun to follow each other online and trade tips about blogging!
Do you partner with other bloggers?
I don't partner with anyone, but it's something I'd be interested in doing if it were the right person. I have written guest posts for other bloggers from time to time.
Have you gone "pro" or tried generating some income through your blog?
Nope! It would be nice to be paid to write reviews, but even when I had reviews published in a teen librarian magazine, I did it as a volunteer. On my blog, I'm an Amazon Associate, but it's only a tiny amount of money earned. Any money I make from that program will be used for blogging expenses (domain renewal or contest shipping costs most likely).
If you're a long-term blogger, how has your online personality developed over the years?
I think I've become less formal in my reviews, and I talk about my personal life a bit more. I also engage with other bloggers more online whether through blog comments or social media.
