The Summer Reading Flowchart: Young Adult Books!

As a librarian and former high school teacher, I'm always on the lookout for great resources that will help young readers connect with books that actually interest them. (Plus, the nerdy side of me loves a good flowchart/infographic.)

Teach.com shared this resource with me, and I wanted to share it with my readers as well. They've put together a fabulous summer reading flowchart for students (but it's great for adults who love YA, too). It features titles from a wide variety of genres that are both high quality AND high interest. There's something for every type of reader. I love that it helps readers pick out books based on what type of reading experience they are in the mood for. (In my experience, students will read a lot more if they get to decide what appeals to them rather than being forced to read something assigned to them.) Also, the flowchart has a cover image and a short description of the book, which makes it easy to quickly decide if the book is something they want to read or not.

Check it out!
